Being this my third Father’s Day without my dad, I felt the need to reflect and share a few life lessons that he taught me that made a profound impact in my life.
Since Father’s Day is Sunday, I wanted to pay tribute to my dad and all the important life lessons he has taught me over the years. Hopefully, some of these lessons will resonate to you, too:
He taught me that education is not everything, but close to it, and that if I wanted to achieve anything in life, I could.
He taught me that life is about learning, and that seeking the truth would teach me more about myself, others, and the world, than anything else I could imagine.
He taught me no one is ever too old to learn, and that we should always be willing to try challenging the mind.
He taught me that independence comes with responsibility, and he allowed me to learn that along the way.
He taught me I can do anything I put my mind to ― if I can manage to put my smartphone and slow down for long enough.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad. I love you forever and always, “so much, so much.”
